Sea Bones

Among the distant waters lie
buried away from the burning sun
they hide deep beyond the eye
they are the ones who couldn’t run

The pristine colors that never hide
blur the lines that kept their hold
they weave the tales they left behind
stories of dead men never grow old

They are the flowers from their bones
the stark white dissolves as the sea foams
And they stay behind like sunken stones
 such a sight never seen in our broken tomes

Their souls have left for realms beyond temporal
their bones are left growing them, the coral.
